Hong Kong Public Libraries
The Hong Kong Public Libraries (HKPL), managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), has long served as a platform to promote “reading”, “knowledge” and “education”. It is also a leader in promoting reading for all. The HKPL strives to bring new forms of reading to people of all ages in the community through organising diverse reading and cultural activities, continuously enriching its print and e-resources, as well as connecting and collaborating with various sectors and community organisations.
The public museums and cultural offices/venues managed by the LCSD collect, conserve and exhibit their collections for the purpose of education and providing enjoyable and inspiring experiences. Extensive researches on collections are carried out by professional teams. Preserving cultural legacy that is accessible, the LCSD Museums hope to provide a lifelong learning platform for the community to foster their imagination and creativity.
