Artist Bio
Tse Ming-chong is a local veteran photographer and educator. He received his Master of Arts Degree in Image and Communication from Goldsmiths College, University of London in 2004 after graduating from Hong Kong Baptist University in the Department of Journalism in 2003. He is a co-founder of “Lumenvisum”, a centre dedicated to promoting photography in Hong Kong. Tse’s photographic installation “Hong Kong Diary ’94” was exhibited in the “1st Tokyo International Photo-Biennale”, Japan in 1995.

Description
Tse Ming-chong started “A Photo-research Project on Horseracing Betting” in 1997 to illustrate how horseracing forms a part of Hong Kong culture. The artist visited several betting stations to conduct his photo-research and explored the social conditions of Hong Kong before and after the Handover.
